Record Breaking Weekend

Goblet of Fire pulled in $102 million it's opening weekend in the US, surpassing all of the previous Potter films. $1.06 million came from IMAX ticket sales, which shattered previous records by more than 30%.

In the UK, the film earned a record breaking £14.9 million, beating out Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith.

In the week preceding it's release, movie tickets website Fandango.com was selling five GoF tickets every second!

And with the US poised on the brink of the Thanksgiving day weekend, Warner Brothers is sure to expect another big haul.

Positive Reviews for Goblet Pouring In

Positive reviews for GoF are beginning to stack up. You can check out the ever growing list Here.

The New York Times Review, just out today, states:

"If Mr. Cuaron raised the series to a new level with 'Azkaban,' Mr. Newell, best known for ingratiating mainstream fare like 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' and best remembered for the bracing likes of 'Donnie Brasco,' manages to keep his contribution at a similarly high level of enthrallment. The gloom and doom may be less poetically realized, but the combination of British eccentricity, fatalism and steady-on pluck remains irresistibly intact."

Drowning in Clips

There are now more clips of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in circulation than seem reasonable. But who cares about reason when the movie is about to be released in mere weeks.

The Moviebox.net seems to have the most comprehensive list of Teasers, Trailers, Film Clips and Behind the Scene Peeks in a variety of media formats. So if you're hungering for a bit of Goblet spoilery, this is the link for you.

IESB.net also has a number of wonderful interview clips with cast members as well as with Mike Newell and David Heyman.

And last but not least HPANA and Mugglenet have the most recent new clip that debuted on 'Ellen' earlier today.

Enjoy!
