Casting directors for the Order of the Phoenix are now visiting a number of schools across the UK in search of an actress to play Luna Lovegood in the fifth film. There will be no open auditions for the role (as with Cho or Krum) but if you would like to audition, send a photo of yourself with your age and your contact information to the following address:

And it goes without saying - all hopefuls must be British to apply for the role.
Best of luck to all the Lunas out there!
Images from the GoF 2006 Calender are now available online.
Medium Versions
Actor Tom Felton turns 18 today. We hope you have a great one!
. . . Or a speeding bludger, whichever you prefer.
For two years, GoF has held the record for the most expensive movie ever made. The original budget for GoF was $308 Million and has since been reduced to $305 Million. It seems though that Superman Returns (due out in 2006) will be swooping in with an estimated budget of $326 Million.
There are still three more HP movies, of course. So there's always a chance for Harry to steal the title back again.
Jenna of DanRadcliffe.com received scans of a GoF article from a recent Japanese theater-magazine. You can view the scans Here. There are a number of new photos, so beware of movie spoilers.
The US theatrical trailer for GoF is now viewable online.

WB has also confirmed that the trailer will be attached to Tim Burton's new film Corpse Bride set to hit theaters on September 16. The new trailer will be a whopping two and a half minutes in length!
EDIT: The trailer will debut on AOL tomorrow morning, September 15 at 9 AM (EST).

For the first time the entire Harry Potter audiobook series is available as a digital download from iTunes Music Store according to an announcement by J.K. Rowling and Apple.
Customers can either download individual audiobooks or the complete Harry Potter Digital Box Set which includes a full color digital booklet as well as previously unreleased readings from author J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter fans can also purchase the complete Harry Potter Digital Box Set together with a Collector's Edition 20GB iPod engraved with the Hogwarts crest.
"We are honored that J.K. Rowling has picked iTunes for the debut of the Harry Potter audiobook series," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "We're delighted to be able to bring these wonderful and wildly popular stories to iTunes Music Store customers."
On her official website today, J.K. said, "Many Harry Potter fans have been keen for digital access for a while, but the deciding factor for me in authorizing this new version is that it will help combat the growing incidents of piracy in this area. There have been a number of incidents where fans have stumbled upon unauthorized files believing them to be genuine and, quite apart from the fact that they are illegal, the Harry Potter content of these can bear very little resemblance to anything I've ever written!"
The complete Harry Potter Digital Box Set is equivalent to almost 100 CDs, but customers can purchase this entire audiobook collection with just one click and then transfer all six books onto their iPod to take with them wherever they go.
Pau with 'Potter'
It took 11-year-old Robert Featheran III just seven hours to finish J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."
But he had to wait more than a week to even talk about it. And that was really, really hard to do.
"It took my mom two days after I had gotten the book to start reading it," said the seventh grader at Waipahu Intermediate. "I was like, 'Hurry up already!' "
And there was a lot to talk about this time around. (For those who haven't finished the book yet, this is a cue to stop reading.) A new romance. (Two, actually.) A new mystery. And another death. A shocking one.
"There were so many twists," said Robert, who barricaded himself in his bedroom to finish the book. "I even shut myself out of eating, which is one of the things I prize in my life. I wouldn't eat or leave my room."

A portrait of J. K. Rowling by artist Stuart Pearson Wright is being unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery in London on Tuesday, inspired by her early life. It shows JK sitting at a desk in a bare room, with a writing pad in front of her, along with three boiled eggs, to represent her three children.
The artist stated: "I was drawn to Jo principally because of my admiration for a woman who can successfully combine motherhood and a creative career.
"Jo told me that she had been drawn to my work because of the tiny paintings that I had done of a family of people with red hair.
"She confessed to sharing a fascination for people with red hair, which any readers familiar with the Weasley family in the Harry Potter books should not be surprised about."
Asked whether JK liked the picture, he said: "She's still talking to me, which must be a good sign."
