There's a small article in The Independent today where 'Order of the Phoenix' director David Yates is interviewed.
He is currently trying to get permission from 17 different councils to shoot an exciting, high-speed broomstick chase, James Bond-style, down the Thames. But apparently a number of council members are unreceptive to the idea of having London Landmarks be a backdrop to a wizard chase.
Yates is holding out hope though. "My location manager is going to spend the next four months trying to sort it all out - we don't start shooting until the spring."
J.K. Rowling has just updated her site to address the rumors of an HBP leak. British tabloid 'The Sun' recently printed an article which claimed that betting firms, in and around the town where HBP is being printed, had inside information as to the identities of the Half-Blood Prince and also a character who dies. Here is JKR's response:
"Well, here we go again! The gossip, the non-stories, the ever-wilder speculation...
Please remember that allegations of 'leaks' concerning deaths in 'Half-Blood Prince' are very easy to make. Any comment I make on such rumours would be a spoiler, so I'll just repeat: keep those barrels of salt handy."
So there you have it!

Back on April 20th, we told you that John Williams had been nominated for a Classical Brit Award for his score for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The show was held this evening at the Royal Albert Hall. Mr. Williams took home two awards - one for Prisoner and one for The Terminal. Congratulations!

Although we still have a two or three year wait for Book Seven, the last in the Harry Potter Series, speculations are already flying about what J. K. Rowling will write next.
Fans may remember the interview with Rowling two years ago for BBC Newsnight where she stated she had been working on a non Harry related novel between books four and five. And just last week on jkrowling.com, she joked about having several unpublished works "languishing in drawers".
According to close friend, writer Ian Rankin, Rowling has a strong interest in crime fiction and would be a successful writer of detective novels. The creator of the Inspector Rebus books said: "I know she is a crime fiction fan, so I would love it if she went on and wrote a crime novel. I think the Harry Potter novels are whodunits anyway. There are lots of red herrings and mystery. As long as she doesn't set it in Edinburgh I'll be quite happy."
A spokesperson for Rowling has stated that it's simply "far too early for Rowling to comment in any detail about what she will write next".

J.K. Rowling has added some updates to her website! The biggest piece of news is in regards to the Harry Potter Children's Press Conference Weekend on July 16th and 17th at Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. Seventy aspiring young reporters, ages 8 to 16, will be attending as spokespersons for numerous English-language newspapers around the world.
On the stroke of midnight on Saturday 16th, JKR will be giving the very first reading from the HBP.
