If you live in Canada or the United States, you'll be able to pick up the audio version of The Half-Blood Prince the same day the book is released - July 16.
The audio books, which are published by Listening Library - a division of Random House, will be read once again by Grammy winner Jim Dale. The set will contain 18 CDs or 12 cassettes and will be more than 21 hours long.
The UK audio version of HBP will be released on August 25 and will presumably be read by Stephen Fry.
Amazon.com announced that pre-orders for Half-Blood Prince have reached the 700,000 mark. It seems likely at this point with two and a half months to go, that Prince will meet or exceed the 1 Million copies of Phoenix pre-ordered a month before it's release date back in June, 2003.

According to a Leaky Cauldron exclusive, the GoF trailer will debut in theaters May 13th. Pieces of the trailer will also be interspersed throughout the ABC airing of The Chamber of Secrets on May 7th.
No word yet on which movie will preview the GoF trailer. However, we can probably expect various versions of the trailer to begin showing up on the internet the first week of May.
EDIT: TLC has just announced the trailer will debut in theatres along with the film Kicking and Screaming.

Composer John Williams has been nominated for a Classical Brit Award for his score for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The show will be held on Wednesday 25th May 2005 at the Royal Albert Hall to be televised at a later date on ITV1 in the UK.

The BBC has just announced David Tennant (GoF's Barty Crouch Jr.) will replace Christopher Eccleston as the 10th Dr. Who in the new series which began airing this spring.
David Tennant says: "I am delighted, excited and honoured to be the tenth Doctor! I grew up loving Doctor Who and it has been a lifelong dream to get my very own TARDIS."
Mr. Tennant will star alongside Billie Piper who returns as Rose Tyler.

Both of Potter's Emmas are celebrating birthdays today! Emma Watson turns 15 while Emma Thompson turns 46. Lots of birthday cheer to two charming ladies.
On Saturday May 7th, US network ABC will air a four hour Harry Potter special. Starting at 7pm EST, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will have it's televised premiere. According to an ABC spokesperson:
"As a special treat for Harry Potter film fans, this presentation will include interstitials throughout featuring an exclusive first look at film clips, cast interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the fourth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, opening in theaters November 18, 2005.

Actress Julie Christie turns 64 today. Born and raised in India, Ms. Christie plays Madame Rosemerta in the Harry Potter movies.
HATE-FILLED websites have sprung up attacking Harry Potter actress Katie Leung.
Messages slagging off the 17-year-old have been posted by fans of the boy wizard.
Katie, of Motherwell, Lanarkshire, beat 4000 other girls at an audition in Glasgow to win the role of Harry's girlfriend.
But before the film has even premiered, she has experienced the downside of fame.
Jealous fans have started a Hate-Katie site on the internet just because she gets to kiss Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire film.
Messages branding her ugly - some even with racist comments - have been posted on some sites.

Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards show aired yesterday evening. Prisoner of Azkaban had been nominated for 'Best Movie', and HP Books 1-5 for 'Best Series'.
Unfortunately, Potter lost in both cases. The award for 'Best Book' went to A Series of Unfortunate Events and 'Best Movie' went to The Incredibles.
