(Source Veritaserum.com) Web giant Amazon.com purchased one of the seven copies in existence of JK Rowling's 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' at a Sotheby's auction last week. The winning bid was £1,950,000, or $3,984,77, significantly above the expected selling price of $100,000.

While Amazon can not republish the book as they do not own the rights, they have published detailed reviews of each of the five stories included in the book which you can find at this Link. Beautiful photos of the book can be found at this Link.

Following the auction, JK Rowling said, "I'm stunned and ecstatic. Christmas has come early for me."
