Asian girls came to London from all over the UK on Sunday to try out for the part of twins Parvati and Padma Patil, who will star in the Goblet of Fire.
The producers are looking for two Asian girls aged between 13 and 16 to play the parts. They say the girls don't have to have acted before, but they must look right for the part and get on well together.
Potter staff have held auditions for the Patil sisters before, in Birmingham and Bradford, but they haven't found what they're looking for yet.

Posted by: joyce at January 20, 2004 06:19 AMi am an asian girl with an indian background. i loved acting ever since and i am 12 years old, but i am turning 13 soon. i had the patience and excitement, and i know its really hard to get the part. i have a friend who almost or somewhat looks like me. i'm from thailand, and now i know, that life is full of luck and it isn't easy to get the part. i just hope i can try and get it, for fun and for experience. i think i match the descriptions but i'm not sure. if you are interested on finding out, please email me. i've been waiting for this opportunity and incident, and its there. well, i'll just have to try my best.

my name tiaan and i'm from south africa. i love harry potter and would like to play the role of draco malfoy, but i can't get to any auditions because there aren't any close by. i can speak with a british and irish accent. I am 17 and i have an exellent memory, i can reach the top of a door post if i reach up with my hand. My hair is blonde and my friends say i look like a vampire, because i look very evil and the fact that i'm pale( but i don't look like a rat). i'm a very experienced actor and i'm not nerdy. My friends also say that i look that evil kid from harry potter. Please Please fly me over to audition. You won't be dissapionted.

Posted by: Pooja at March 19, 2004 08:15 AMHI i really want the part of one of the sisters but i live in the us. I'm 13 and have dark hair. I really love to act but there's nothing in my hometown that offers it not even my school. All the plays they put on around here are musicals and since i can't sing i dont get a part it really sucks . I REALLY WANT A PART!
Posted by: alyson at March 22, 2004 02:16 AMI would love to have the part as either Parvati or Padma Patil. I am 13 but live in the US. I am Chinese and have dark brown hair, fair/medium skin and dark eyes. I love to act and have some acting experience, but I think they have probably already chosen someone for the part. :(
Posted by: stephanie at April 9, 2004 11:48 PMIf you're unable to find Brit girl who fits the description of the Patil twins, instead of wasting time trying to find the right girls in the UK, try finding them outside of the UK, like the USA, Australia, New Zealand, places where you're most likely to find someone. According to the news I've seen, you were supposed to have started filming for the 4th movie over a week ago. Give these girls a chance. These girls may be the perfect match. The whole world is counting on you people.
Posted by: Kerena at April 10, 2004 03:35 AMHi, i'm glori. Me and my sister really want the parts of parvati and padma, and we arn't twins, but we look alike. Wer have sorta dark, hair, and i really really really want this part it would mean so much to me. i'm sending a letter to leavsden studios tommmorow!!!!This part means the entire world to me!!! We would make the perfect parvati/padma!!!!
P.S. good luck 2 all u girls, hoping 4 the part two!!!!
i have acting experiance and have played leadingroles in local productions i belong to a drama school.i would love to get a chance and i have the address of the people who cast. i hope i will get a part or one of my mates wil!:0D
Unless WB can't find anyone to play the roles in the UK, they won't go overseas.
Thats the way things are done.
But they have stipulated that you must be currently living in the UK.
I suspect though that they have been cast, but won't be announced until shooting has started.
Posted by: Julian at May 4, 2004 03:28 PMI defenatly think they should come over to the U.S. to look for people to play them, and other characters. They might be surprised with how many people don't mind being on location in Britain and can speak with the most fluent of British accents. After all, America is the home of some of the world's best talent (Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Brad Pitt.) Since Warner Bros. is located in California, they should hold auditions here in the U.S. If the former director (now executive producer) Chris Columbus was American, they should give American actors and actresses a chance. After all, we saw extravegant ideas and such from Chris Columbus!
Posted by: Tori at May 30, 2004 11:28 PMI'm 12 and one of my friends who is 13 and is Asian and loox EXACTLY like me so i'm thinking well if she's Asian then I must look like Asian too!
